These strategy sessions have helped me figure out my business in the past... let me help you with the next steps to the future of the business you have in your mind! 😍
Well first long weekend of summer is here - woo hoo! Right now I'm working at a Tims, drinking coffee, watching the traffic of the highway and the drive thru... all while my car is in for a service. Good Start to a long weekend - working from anywhere is one of the perks I love about this.
Outside of this I'm working on a new offer - have a few website activities for a client, working on some systems for a new client (and some client facing activities for them) - cleaning up my desk for the weekend... might just keep this going and work on the back deck when I get home!
How are you spending your Friday?! I have time - fill me in on what you are working on...
This weekend is the first #longweekend of summer - May 2-4! This brought up an interesting point with some of my clients that I thought I would ask you all too.
When was the last time you checked in with your Team on their plans for summer? Myself, I have been letting my clients know that in early July I'm not online until after we get settled in our new home on the east coast.
Trying to do client work while traveling for 14 + hours with 2 kids & all my possessions, is not really conducive to quality work. So here are a few quick tips to help you get ready for Summer and really, this can be used for any time holidays roll around...
It is as easy as...
🎤 ASK YOUR TEAM - even if they usually let you know, just ask them if they have confirmed their plans. This way you can make sure that you aren't the one getting the last-minute mention and leaving you to pick up all the pieces
📆 PUT IT ON A CALENDAR - Put this on a printed calendar or document (like the free template I have a link in my bio for planning for Summer 2022) and put it up where you can see it daily as a reminder.
✅ REVIEW DELIVERABLES FOR YOUR CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS - whether you are a Product or a Service-based business, there are deadlines and deliverables. Review these and see if any of these vacation plans affect the overall deadline. If you don't, you cannot plan for either asking for early delivery OR hiring temp help until they return.
🌅SCHEDULE TIME FOR YOU - What time off do you need to recharge? Make sure that schedule that in as well. Summer is a great chance to take a short trip, schedule some me-time and spend time with your friends and family at the patio or cottage.
If you are thinking you need to get started in the planning - click the link in my bio to download your Summer 2022 Team Vacation Template. This fillable document (and printable) is there to help!
If you need help, check out my #BreakthroughStrategySessions - this is your chance to help you plan, and create an actionable 90 plan for all things Teams, Operations, Systems and more.
With packing for our move to the east coast, and just binging the 2nd season of @thehomeedit on #Netflix, I took away so much more than just the best way to systemize and organize your home - though really going to come in handy here soon!
I took away the need to have systems in so many places of your life and that by doing your own "systems assessment" - whether it's organizing your home, business or just going through and preparing for a move - the system is something that grows and breathes with you... and supports you each step of the way.

Happy Mother's Day! This is the day to celebrate the women in our lives - for all they give to us, our families and the path they paved for us each and every day! I have an amazing set of women in my life... I'm so grateful to have you all in it!
When it comes to being productive, there are a lot of amazing theories out there. These are the 3 things I do each week to try to maintain order in the chaos (especially when you have kids) so that you never feel behind. Now bearing in mind, we all are in different seasons of life and they can change almost monthly. But these 3 'hacks' help me try to keep my order and my sanity. 😎
1. Prioritize ✔️ - Start by setting your goals and prioritizing your tasks. Stop multitasking and concentrate on single tasks. (this means try not to have 100 tabs open for me - LOL a challenge but I try. I also use different chrome profiles per client so that I don't jump around too much and maintain focus on the task at hand). This should be looked at Quarterly as life does change with the seasons - so your goals should do the same.
2. Plan Ahead 📆 - as the slide talks about, set aside time each week (I have 9am Mondays and 3pm Fridays for my time) to really figure out my week and prioritize - allowing for small things to come up. You can also use your project management software (I use click up to do mine) and set up a project just for you to figure out what you need to do outside of client work
3. Take Time ⌛ - This isn't just self care, this is truly taking time. Make sure you take the time to honour your boundaries with your work, life and family. Your mental health will thank you in this. Normally, FOCUS is the next hack, but I find if you don't take the time to really either be in your business or your family - the lines get blurred and you aren't the best person for your family, clients or business. TAKE the time - enjoy those moments. They are all we have at the end of the day.
What did you think of these? Do you have other 'hacks' you like to use? Put your comments below because, as I'm entering a new phase of life myself - maybe your 'hack' might just be the thing I didn't think of to make it so much easier! 👇👇👇

Q2 is well underway and I don't know about you but I have been looking ahead at Q3 already so that I am ready to go after our move. Are you planning that far ahead? Have you considered maybe you should?
The reason I ask is that as the nice weather continues, your team might be looking at taking vacation time coming up and you will need to have either the work done in advance or bring in temporary help to make sure that the work continues seamlessly.
That is where you might want to consider a #SystemsAssessment in your near future. What happens is you bring in a #certifiedobm like me, will ask you a series of questions and we determine where your processes are at the moment. What needs to happen to ensure that your team has what they need and next steps for future process documentation.
Not only will this help you in the short term - with team member vacations or times you might want to take time away - but it also helps to highlight what is needed to ensure your next product launch is a success each and every time. Not to mention, if you are trying to develop a company culture - this is a key piece to that team handbook you know you always wanted.
Book your time today - lets keep your #goals for 2022 top of mind.
My latest blog is up. With some moves happening personally here in the coming months - and Q2 at its start - I thought it was a good time to review where I'm at in my 10-year vision, being 5 years into it at this point. One of the first #womenentrepreneurs I followed (@lorikennedyinc) introduced me to the 10-year vision. She recently just started her own shifts and that prompted me to look at mine... 😍
Personal reflections and professional ones often overlap, but in the end - figuring out where you are on the path is always the best thing to do as an #entrepreneur. In the comments below, I would love to know if you have a 10-year vision and if you are on track for what you hoped for?
Been a little quiet over here in #CMCVPS - I have been in #strategy and #systems mode. Been working on some roadmapping plus with a move to the east coast in the works, I have discovered that I need to spend Q2 in #systemsoverhaul mode so that I can allow my business to operate while I'm offline with moving boxes.
When there are personal shifts - how do you adjust professionally? I find that I have to simplify - automate where possible and try my best to maintain organization. Where possible, pre-work on things so that there is no apparent delay or disruption. Particularly in client work.
With #yourmindset needing to be top of mind, as to prevent burnout or overwhelm trying to deliver - how do you prepare your business(es) for these shifts? Would love to hear in the comments below! Keep in mind, this could be major events like births or (in my case) moving, this could be looking at alternative #incomesources to create a little bit of a buffer.
Quote of the day - in case you need a little reminder to be #kind to yourself and your plans. We all can #strategize till the cows come home - but realize that everything we do every day is how we grow, learn and scale to be the person we are destined to be!
It is Q2... April Fools Day and the 1st day of the rest of your life... just kidding. But in all seriousness, as we travel through life personally and professionally - if we have learned anything through COVID is that we need to live more authentically and in alignment.
I have been in a shift professionally where I have been making some changes, opening myself up more, and finally starting to ask for boundaries - even if the how-to of those boundaries aren't 100%. So far, my clients have been supportive and understanding. This is definitely something to strive for.
As business owners - and supporting business owners - we all need to have these moments where we reflect and really dive deep into our goals, wants, and needs.
As we start Q2 today, I'm stepping into that more and more - creating circles around me that support that on all levels in my life as well as other personal shifts to allow me to really enjoy these steps.
How are you starting off Q2 today? After the April Fools Jokes of course!

Listen, I know that all of us are super busy with trying to get back to 'normal' (if possible) and I have been seeing all the typical sales/themes going on in the internet space (home organizing, physical resets - diets - all of it) and yes, I'm also shifting things personally to hit goals I have this year. One thing I want you to consider, as you look at these beautiful Home Edit videos - why are you not hiring a consultant (ME!) to do the same for your business.
The Systems Assessment is your opportunity to take stock in your business, what you have, what you need and organize it for you with a plan of action. As a busy entrepreneur, just like when we hire a cleaning service or home organizer company or purchase meal kits, we need this objective view to appreciate the help, the organization, and also the path to keep it that way as life gets busy.
The reason you need this - it's good to make sure you have your bases covered in your business, your team knows what to do (and when), as well as (the important piece) allow you more time to get back to the parts of the business that make you sing!
I'm offering this at a couple of opportunities. (think like deciding between a weekly cleaning (𝐚𝐥 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞) and a monthly cleaning (𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰).
Whichever phase you are in, just like when you finally hire that cleaning company, this is your chance to take time back in your business.
😎How would it feel to know where to begin your purge/documenting of the must need in your business so that you aren't digging through outdated assets.
😎How would it feel having your team know where to access the processes they need as well as maybe find more efficient ways to work because they aren't searching for the assets needed to complete their tasks.
😎How would it feel to understand where you need to go next with a plan of action that could either be implemented by your own team or I could quarterback it for you.
Just a few examples that might help you move forward with the other goals and aspirations for 2022. I would love to help "organize" your next steps... why not start today? Click the link in my bio to learn more!...
